With her famous win at the Women’s British Open, golfer Georgia Hall became just the third Brit to win the tournament since it became a major in 2001.

The Bournemouth-born golfer beat closest rivals Pornanong Phatlum and Ryu So-yeon to finish with an aggregate score of 17 under.

Hall dedicated the win to her grandfather, saying: ‘There’s someone special at home who’s going through a very bad time, so this is for you, granddad.’
