Fortune was smiling on Ian Poulter on Thursday as he pulled off a remarkable fluke shot to keep his hopes of a British Open challenge going.
The 42-year-old Englishman was two-over par and on the 18th hole at Carnoustie when he performed the amazing escape act.
Situated in the rough after a poor start to the hole, Poulter blasted a drive that seemed destined for the water, only for the ball to take a massive bounce towards a bunker.
