This week marks the TOUR’s first visit Trinity Forest Golf Club as it plays host to the AT&T Byron Nelson. With so much talk coming in about the course, it is worth taking a look at how the it fared during Thursday’s play. Here are the hole-by-hole scoring averages (relative-to-par) from Round 1:

Course Statstics

The course played 1.47 shots under par Thursday, with the front nine playing 1.7 shots easier than the finishing side. This was largely due to the two par 5s on the front nine, holes 1 and 7, which played 0.56 and 0.63 shots under par, respectively. More surprisingly, the short 8th hole was the third easiest of the day, which is unusual for a par 3. With a pin positioned at a low point in the undulating green, the field took advantage and finished the day with a 2.58 scoring average.
